This Privacy Policy describes how Aqar 24 ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Aqar 24:
- Name, email address, and profile photo (provided by Google, Facebook, or Apple when you sign in)
- Phone number (optional — only if you choose to add it to your profile)
- City or location (optional — only if you choose to add it)
- Listing information you provide (title, description, price, location, photos)
- Messages you send through the in-app chat
- Device push notification token (to send you notifications)
- Photos you upload from your device
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Aqar 24 marketplace
- Display your listings to other users
- Enable real-time messaging between buyers and sellers
- Send push notifications about your listings and messages
- Improve the app experience
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these cases:
- Listing information (title, price, location, photos, and seller name) is visible to all users of the app
- Messages are only visible to the participants of that conversation
- We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and push notifications
- We use Cloudinary for photo storage
- Sign-in via Google is subject to Google's Privacy Policy
- Sign-in via Facebook is subject to Meta's Privacy Policy
- Sign-in via Apple is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
4. Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time directly from within the app:
Profile → Settings → Delete Account
This immediately and permanently deletes your profile, listings, messages, saved items, and notifications. This action cannot be undone.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all data at any time via Profile → Settings → Delete Account
- Disconnect your Google, Facebook, or Apple account from the respective platform's settings
7. Children's Privacy
Aqar 24 is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
